John opened the first brewpub in Colorado back in 1988, and has always had a passion for craft beer and the brewing process. One of his favorite recipes is the Hazy IPA brewed with Climbing Chalk, from current Wynkoop head brewer Charles McManus. Yes, you read that right – Climbing Chalk! It’s perfectly acceptable for consumption, and combines the love of the magnificent Colorado outdoors with another Colorado staple: beer!
