Hey folks,
This week we joined Governor Polis and local leaders for Entegris’ announcement that they’re building a new, $600 million tech semiconductor equipment manufacturing plant right in Colorado Springs. As you can probably tell, this is a BIG deal for El Paso County and the whole state. It’s going to create up to 1,000 good-paying jobs, most of which will start right away!

We passed the bipartisan CHIPS & Science Act this year to bring semiconductor manufacturing jobs back to America and make us a global economic force again. And now, Colorado is part of that comeback. This is the kind of investment that will make our state an even bigger hub for big tech.
With our highly skilled workforce, gold-standard research in emerging technologies, and thriving aerospace industry, Colorado is well-placed for this comeback – and we can’t wait to see this project get up and running. Cheers to innovation and new ideas!
Sincerely,
Senator John Hickenlooper
